the "circus" came to town

Every once in awhile while we are driving around town, we notice a big tent in a neighborhood. We have come to know this as the bug treatment. The family needs to take all their food out of the house, and leave the house. The outside vents are sealed up and the house covered with a tent, fumagated, and then the pesticide is let work for a day. The tent is removed and soon everyone is back into the house and all is well and there are no bugs, especially termites.

The lovely home behind us has been for sale since we arrived a year ago. In August, we noticed some action over there and I was alert enough to get my camera to record the transition for you all. I took these fotos from our back deck.

This is the beginning of process.

A little more is done.

Even more. Just about finished.

I was nervous watching these guys walk around on that high roof!!

Notice the guy laying down on the corner of the roof, far right side.

His colors blend in really well so he is hard to see.

Securing the tent lower down.

Already done, and taking off the tent.

Interesting to see where the tent catches.

This shows the roof vents and chimneys that had to be blocked.

Basically all done.

All in a fun day or two in Ventura.
