I often go walking . . .

We have found this beautiful place to go walking in the morning, afternoon, or eventide. Here are some morning photos of this amazing place, designed just for me. . .

The walkway. People walk themselves and their dogs, run, ride bikes, roller skate, or skate board here. Most we have seen walk. It has never been crowded.
How to tell how far you have been. The entire circle is 1.5 miles.Place to rest and toss your garbage.Keep walking. . . Another place to rest, toss your garbage, get a drink for you and for your dog.
Some areas are close to main streets, but most are not.
Some of the flowers, shrubery and grasses along the way.

There are some slight hills.

The lights are on in the early morning and from dusk
until 9 when the park closes.
Maybe even after 9, but we haven't been there to know.
The buildings in the center that house several swimming and lap pools.
The soccer fields.
I hope you enjoyed your walk with us today.

Unofficial mission logo

This is a logo developed by the missionaires to designate baptism and confirmation in the California Ventura Mission.

A drive to Paso Robles and back

We traveled along the 101 up through Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, and Atascadero. Then the next day we headed up to Paso Robles, over to Morro Bay, back through San Luis Obispo and home in the dark, so not too many photos on the rest of the way home. It was a beautiful trip.

Along the roadside....

Near Santa Barbara

Everything is colorful this time of year.

What a lovely place for these happy
California cows to graze!
[I met a sister at church last week, who was here with her husband tending cattle that had been brought to California for the winter and calving. Cows do like it here.]

Flowers all over the hills, so beautiful!

Near Gaviota State Park as we turn from the ocean drive to the mountain drive.

Heading toward Solvang

Santa Maria Valley

More contented cows.

California Ave in San Luis Obispo is one of my favorites!

The weather is changing as night falls.

New day, we did make it to Paso Robles

A different kind of plant life....

And then after those interviews the darkness came.....
