A Little Get Away

The week before Thanksgiving we traveled the mission with zone conferences.  Monday - Friday we met with the missionaries from 9 - 5.  We were in Ventura, Bakersfield 2 days, Thousand Oaks, and Santa Maria.  After the conference in Santa Maria on Friday, we decided to spend the night in Pismo Beach and have a little rest and relaxation in a beach front hotel during the off season.  We figured we would have a good chance of actually seeing the ocean this time of year since the fog is generally more sparce.  We had quite the rain storm on Friday evening and night, but Saturday morning brought a beautiful sunrise on the ocean. We didn't linger long though.  We were off in the morning to

San Luis Obipo to attend a baptism of a

college student there.
